if something is important on the board, it's going to be addressed here. this could be anything about site updates or even site events that are currently happening. just try and keep up to speed with the threads that are made in here.

every site needs frequent activity checks. this site's gonna be no exception. we'll be having them quite frequently. if you put up an absent note, you'll be excused if one happens after you put up a note. if you miss it and never put up some excuse for your absence, your stuff'll be moved to the archives board, and your accounts will be deleted. updates on bans ( when they happen ) will be put up here.

after being reviewed, if your application has been accepted, it will be moved into the proper sub-board in here, and you will then be able to post around the board freely.

the main communication in this day and time are by cell phones. if they're not talking to eachother, they're texting or else leaving pictures or voicemails. it's as if the population has a phone glued to their ear, no matter what the time.

everyone should know what aol, msn, and the rest of the instant messengers are. if you're bored and procrastinating, you sign on so that your friends can distract you from said work.

not as popular as twitter, but still a good means of communication, myspace is a social networking site in which you can keep tabs on your friends. yay!.

twitter's the new myspace, basically. it's an easy way to update everyone on how your day's going or if there's anything important going on. it's easier than all the hassle of a myspace.

need to get something off of your mind? or maybe you have something you want to talk about that happened, and made you happy? you could also share pics -- all with a simple little journal!

got a medical emergency? going to have a baby? good thing that there's a hospital full of trained staff in hilo, then! they're always working around the clock to help any and all patients that are admitted.

hilo is a rather large place on an island, surrounded by water of course. so there'd be no doubt in the fact that there'd be a rather large and nice beach, complete with nice, clean water.

most cities have zoos, and hilo is no exception. its zoo is complete with many rain forest-type animals, and even has a rain forest theme to it. it's a nice place to visit if you're just bored and want to pass the time.

so you're not someone who takes too well to the beach because you don't like the feeling of the sand getting stuck in your shorts or something? then go to the pool! given, it's usually packed, but there's no sand! yay!

of course, this being hawaii, it has to be exotic. there are some woods that you can walk through, with trails. but make sure you can make your way back, and not get lost.

so, you got a hot date with that girl you've been eyeing at the mall? now, you just gotta take her somewhere nice? the cinema's probably a good place. cliche, but it always works well. especially when it comes to horror movies.

if you don't know what a park is, you're obviously not even from the planet earth. hilo prides itself on how nicely kept it's city park is. to the left of it, there's a playground for children, and also a bike path.

rather than make a billion different boards for each shop, there's just going to be one large one. this is so that there's a larger selection on where your character can shop, rather than the places provided within.

late night craving? of course you're wanting something to eat at a quarter past two in the morning! there's many locations where you can squash those hunger pangs in hilo, hawaii. if you can't find anything, then you're just too picky!

sure, your character could be homeless. but who would want that? just go to the claims to have a board for your character's home made, and it'll be put up here, in a sub-board!

if you're leaving hawaii to go somewhere else -- say, maybe europe or even new york? you post it in this board right here. be sure to put the location that you're traveling to, within the board... so no one gets confused!

if you're going away for a while, you should probably let everyone in the board know. plus, if you are gone during any activity checks, your account won't be deleted. there's a form inside, so use that to post in here.

if you're able to do graphics, post a thread up in here and take up people's requests. you may also put up a board to just show off your work or just to share graphics you made before-hand with people.

if you need some kind of a character made -- be it a boyfriend, brother, sister, or best friend? it should be put in here. this board is guest friendly. make sure that if you have a specific play by that you want used, put it up in the wanted faces claim!

every board needs to advertise in order to succesfully survive. just make sure you're respectable, and put the advertisement in the right sub-board. if you wish to affiliate, then there's a thread to reply to for that!
