Elizabeth looked down at the lower right hand side of her computer screen. It was already 3:38 in the afternoon and she was still doing school work. English was her least favorite subject so it made writing the paper a whole lot less fun. She need a break so she decided it would be best for her to take a trip to the beach, it was her favorite thing to do here in Hilo, Hawaii. Ever since she arrived about a year ago for university she has gone to the beach at least once a day. To say the minimum, Lizzie had gotten a good amount of sun. She finished typing the last part of her paper and went to her room to change in to her swim suit. Elizabeth loved her little apartment because it was not like most apartments. Most of them, especially in Pismo, California, would be stacked on top of each other in threes and fours. Liz had been lucky enough to find a small one bedroom, bungalow type apartment. It was just big enough for her, it had one bathroom, one bedroom, and a small living and dining area. However, the best part of it is that it sits on the beach. In the mornings she can go outside on her patio and watch the dolphins play in the surf.
She was wearing her only clean bathing suit. It was orange and had some gold colored circles covering the entire thing. Elizabeth was so lazy when it came to washing her clothes, she would quite literally wait until she was down to her last outfit before she did even one load of wash. Her bare feet stepped off the bricked patio area and onto the white sand. It was soft, and oddly cool for this time of day, it was surprising but nice at the same time. It was windy just enough to let her long brown hair flow gently in the warm summer air. Lizzie had a thin black hair tie around her wrist just incase she would need later on. The crystal clear water was nice and cool, refreshing from the humid heat that was in the air today.
Elizabeth started walking towards the public beaches hoping maybe to see someone she knew, maybe from class or work. She could possibly even run into one of the nice locals she had met since she had been here. The people who lived here were quite lovely and always nice to her when she was at the market or on the beach. It was refreshing to live somewhere where the people were just as nice as the city itself. Her small feet continued to shuffle in the sand as she was getting closer to where there were a lot of people. Lizabeth thought about turning around and going back home, after all she did have a paper to write that was due soon.
