car had decided that of all days, today was going to be a shopping day. school was quickly approaching and carmo didn't really have anything else to do today, so she had volunteered to take her sister and brother both shopping. really, carmo was rather bitchy and she knew that cat didn't get along with her too well, but she didn't care. she did love both her brother and sister and happened to be rather overprotective of both of them. the moment you fought with her siblings, you were fighting with car. sitting up in her bed, she glanced to the clock to only see that it was forty-seven past ten. okay, so she overslept, but that wasn't so bad. usually she didn't get to sleep in since one of the twins would certainly wake up. getting up and onto her feet, she stretched out her thin arms, letting out a loud yawn while doing so. it was then that she noticed the absence of her twins in their crib, as if someone had taken them.
sure, maybe some people would find it ridiculous for her to simply react like a fire was happening. but really, she was always worrying about her babies. if they even coughed, she'd have them right in the emergency room, as if they had some fatal illness that was life threatening. if anything happened to rici or mimi, carmo would become the wreck of the century. and yes, that would be pretty scary to see, since she was already pretty messed up in the first place. getting dressed, carmo had ran down stairs in a rush, hoping that someone had her children and they hadn't been kidnapped or harmed. fortunately, her mother held mirari tightly in her arms, with mauricio in his high chair, entertaining himself with a toy. between the two twins, mauricio was the easier one to keep happy. there was always something that mirari wanted or needed. squealing and giggling loudly, mimi smiled, before her attention was turned to carmo.
izobel, carmo's mother, also looked toward her younger daughter, who had an expression that showed just how relieved she was to find both of her babies. "oh. i hope you don't mind. they were both up when i was walking by your room. so i took them out of their crib," really, izobel didn't need to offer an explanation. instead of saying anything, carmo smiled and nodded her head once, walking to the fridge to pour herself a glass of milk. then she had taken a seat at the table, next to mauricio. his eyes were locked on her, blinking in that way that only a baby could. sighing, carmo once more stood up and walked right over to get a straw and stuck it in her milk. then, she just let mauricio have a drink. as if mirari were a hound-dog, she had seen the milk also and began fussing before she was placed within carmo's lap. then, she was greeted by carmo handing the cup of milk to her and letting her drink from the straw.
"so, mom. i'm taking cat and max shopping today, and i was hoping you could watch the twins until i get back," finally, carmo's voice took over the silence with a hopeful tone, smile completing the mood the seventeen year old was trying to set. sighing dramatically, izobel just nodded her head once, only making carmo squeal quite loudly and whisper a quick thank you. handing mimi back to her, carmo jumped up from the table and bounded up the stairs to alert her siblings that they had to get up now, if they ever dreamed of going school clothes shopping with her. the pace at which she ascended the stairs was quick, with her hopping two steps at a time until she was at the top, then she went to cat's room and pounded on the door to get her up. then she did the same with max's room, a goofy smile on her face. it wasn't hard to see that she was excited for today.
