earlier this evening, sebastian st.claire died from complications of a broken heart. this was the headline that filled the gossip column of miss chiff nearly seven years ago. at first the students of st.claire preparatory school were a little confused on the situation at hand. many thought miss chiff was speaking figuratively until the newspapers confirmed his death the next morning. he had taken his own life, after losing his wife in a car accident. sebastian st.claire was the headmaster at st.claire preparatory school, as was his father before him and his father's father. the school had been passed down at least four generations but after his death, the school's fate was unknown.

it took three days after the death of the headmaster for the school to fall to ruins. the building may have been standing, but everything else had gone awry. students had assumed someone would take over as headmaster and things would go back to normal, but they didn't. after some investigation, it seemed as though headmaster st.claire had left the school in heavy debt. his death revealed the scandal that he had been able to hide while alive. the school was out of money and barely surviving. his death pulled the school down with him. all complications arising due to one man's broken heart.

the prestigious school in the heart of manhattan had 1,500 students spanning from first through twelfth grade. these students were sent from all over the world to attend this school. when the school went down, the parents of students lost the money they had invested in tuition and the boarding students were sent home. some students still stayed in manhattan after the closing of the school, mainly the ones who were long-time residents. some students were sent off to a new boarding school, others tried their luck at public school. regardless of where they were sent, it broke a lot of peoples friendships and relationships. some students never saw each other again. even miss chiff's gossip column shut down.

here we are nearly seven years later, and st.claire preparatory school has been mysteriously reopened. some of the younger ex-students have returned to the school to start high school. some of the older ex-students are just admiring manhattan, perhaps taking some courses at the college. either way, there has been a lot of strange reunions. the most strange reunion of them all is indeed miss chiff's return. the gossip column is running strong yet again and there's much more news to feed off of. seven years has given people a lot of time to make new scandals.
