why won't you come over here WE GOT A CITY TO LOVE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
most people pictured hawaii to be some tropical and exotic getaway. a place where you could go and all your worries would be stolen, left to rest on the shoulders on one of your friends or co-workers. yet, if you tried to convince cohen of this, he would roll his eyes and probably wind up calling you stupid. shoveling shit for work wasn't really all that fabulous, unless you were oscar the grouch or one of those dogs that ate their own feces. after some time sitting in his bed, debating whether or not to go to work, he decided he may as well grace all his co-workers and his boss with his presence. so he roughly shoved the blankets off of his nearly-nude body and stood up.
walking over to the windows of his apartment, he lazily tugged on them, to let the sunlight in and lighten the small area. the light had caused him to quickly squint and try and shield his eyes, attempting to keep the offending brightness out and allow him to see better. within moments, he adjusted and let his hand down, then proceeded into getting ready for work. after he had stepped out and wrapped a towel around his waist to keep any water from dripping onto the floor. looking into the mirror, he began to make sure his hair was proper and didn't look like utter crap. it didn't. perfect. satisfied with his own appearance, he then finished getting ready. that had him in a rather tight pair of jeans and shirt, along with a suit jacket. he was a casual dresser, as everyone knew. hell, he didn't even dress in his own work clothes, and his boss had learned that pretty early on.
sure, he could be fired for not being obedient and following his own rules, but cohen was a smooth talker, a casanova of hsorts. he didn't care about who it was that he was flirting with, as long as he could get his way. and oh, did he have a way with words. everyone knew that -- especially a lot of women around his age. if there were any situation that everyone thought was impossible to get out of, cohen would prove you completely wrong. grabbing his keys, he began to make his way out of his apartment building and to his car. it was an older car, and not all that amazing. but hey, it got him from point a to point b and back, and all that mattered...usually. he would have liked something with more 'unf' to it; a chick magnet. but he just let his talking get the girls for him.
he weaved through traffic, the beats of different music pumping through the speakers of the car as he cruised along, until he reached his destination. damn, why did car rides to work have to be so fast, yet when he wasn't going to work, they took forever? funny how time worked. it was never on his side, and probably loved being against him. stepping out of his car, he locked it up, taking his sweet time to do so. then he began to walk into the zoo, swinging his keys around while he did so. walking into the office so everyone knew he was there, he took note that his boss looked pretty pissed off. however, he ignored it and just flashed her one of his charming smiles before making his way out, as if he owned the place. he knew what he had to do.
pulling his name tag out of his pants pocket, he pinned it to his shirt and scoffed. damn, the name tags were so cheesy, what with a smiley face on it, with his full name under it and some shit about him being an employee. who knew. he just accepted the fact that only an idiot would design such a label. since when had working ever been 'fun' under any conditions? one of his co-workers seemed to love it, yet he thought it was so stupid. walking over to one of the cages, for the sloths, he let himself in and just looked at the dopey and bored looking animals. cohen had guidelines and those whole safety instructions for what he should and shouldn't be doing in the animals' cages. yet, he had never bothered to read any of it. just as long as his work was finished quickly and efficiently, he would be happy.
cohen hadn't even cleaned up more than a quarter of the cage before he stepped out of it, sick as ever. leave it to him to earn himself a rather nasty job. sadly, it wasn't 'nasty' in the way that he liked, either. glaring at the sloths, he heard a group of girls walking past, giggling and staring at him. he couldn't help but put on the charm and give them that smile which seemed to get most girls to swoon and fall with little to no words exchanged. they didn't offer up a reply, but instead winked at him before walking away. cohen shouldn't have been taking a break, but he was just too lazy at the moment to keep working. he wasn't exactly enthusiastic and excited about cleaning up animal waste, you know.
instead, cohen attempted to look busy, all while thinking. he was thinking about the actual reason he was in hawaii. you know how some guys chased girls down in those chick flicks? that was why cohen was in hawaii, even though he wouldn't truly admit it. hell, he was even in university, using that as a cover up. after all, cohen was the one that was being chased, rather than the one pursuing. he just wouldn't admit that his charm was possibly not working on a girl that he wanted. in his own mind, he believed that if he wanted any girl, he could easily get her as long as he listened, and put on that charming attitude of his. yet, andrea had left him and ran to hawaii. he just had to find her and try and win her back. he could. he just couldn't give up.

I M G O N N A M U S T E R E V E R Y O U N C E O F & C O F I D E N C E I H A V E F O R Y O U I W I L L - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Waking up wasn’t an easy thing for anyone to do, especially someone who hated the world as much as Andrea Warren. Well, not really the world but more like anyone and anything that lived on it and talked to her. The nineteen year old shoved herself off of her bed, grumbling at the light that was shooting her in the eyeballs. Andy was in her usual angry mood today as she went through her morning routine. There was hardly a day when she wasn’t hating something, and today was no different. She had a boring day, of acting nice and looking at pretty animals. Big friggin whoop. But it would make her niece happy, so if she couldn’t be happy she might as well witness someone else’s happiness, right? Andrea wasn’t selfish enough to hate everything in the world, she happened to love her niece. She didn’t love her brother as much as she loved her neice, especially since he had a kid at twenty, that was just weird. And the fact that he knocked up a girl when he was fourteen? Even weirder. She grumbled to herself about her stupid brother, and then put her clothes on. She decided on just putting on a pair of white short shorts and grey looking top. Simple, but effective. She wasn’t a boy chaser, so it didn’t matter. Her long hair was down to her waist in brown wavy curls as usual, she didn’t touch it.
Andy grabbed her keys from her counter, looking around and not seeing her roommate anywhere. She just shrugged, she probably hadn’t come home last night. She didn’t really care though, her roomie was just a drunk slut and she deserved to get raped to snap her out of it. Andrea grabbed her wallet, and headed out, pulling her aviators down over her face to protect her from the oncoming sunlight. Since her family was all Richie Richie, she got a dorm that opened right up onto the campus. It wasn’t all that great; she could just hear everything all the time. Nothing good came with money, unless you married someone with it. And since Andy already had money from her rich family, it had no use to her. She had a job, she made her own money. She liked the feeling of paying for herself, paying for other people she might actually like. Andrea didn’t do much of that these days, she just didn’t really like people besides distant relatives. And her niece, Abby, was a distant enough relative for her, and she loved her niece. She was so sweet and innocent and nothing like her father, Andy’s brother.
Andrea sighed as she jumped into her Volkswagen. It was a small yellow Bug, but it did the job. She never had friends in the car, just herself. So she didn’t need a big car, not at all. She turned the key in the ignition and pulled out of the parking lot, speeding down the highway on her way to her brothers place. He went to the same school as her, because her dad forced him to follow her there when she decided to go to college there. It was a hard bargain, but it was in Hawaii so what the hell, right? Why not. Andrea pulled in her brother’s driveway a few minutes after leaving, and hopped out of the car, greeting her family loudly and letting herself in. She smiled at Julie, her brothers girlfriend. She was pretty sweet, for a skinny blonde girl. She was getting Abby ready, which she thought was pretty good of her, for not being the mother of the six year old girl. Andrea got through all the greeting and such, and about ten minutes later, was headed out the door with a very excited, pigtailed Abby. A good, authentic smile was on her face as Andrea drove to the Zoo with her niece, she was bubbling and squealing the whole way over. She wished it were easy for her to be that happy, but Andrea just wasn’t that easy to satisfy.
Her mouth turned down into a frown as she thought of why she was unhappy, and she shook her head. There would be no thinking of the past today, she was just going to have fun watching her little niece pet things and get smelly with the animals. The past was long gone, and he didn’t live here, so there was no way of seeing him either. Andrea bit her lip as she pulled into the Zoo parking lot, grabbing her niece’s hand as she walked to the front. Already, the animal smell was prominent. Yum, that was nice. She grinned down at Abby, and the two talked about some things in the line to get in. She paid the person what they needed, giggling with Abby as they made their way though. Sure enough, the stink hit the two like a ton of bricks. Disgusting. The pair of girls made their way through, stopping at their appropriate places. Abby held onto Andrea’s hand excitedly pulling her through the gross smelling place. It was huge, she could get lost on here. Andrea toyed with her sunglasses as Abby pranced around by the monkey’s. They watched her, looking almost nervous. They should have been, that girl was a ball of fire.
Andrea followed her over to the sloth’s hiding her yawn from the excited girl. She crossed her arms, leaning against the railing, her eyes trained on the six year old. If she lost her, her brother would murder her. She let out a sigh, zoning out for a moment. Andy heard a gaggle of girls giggling and opened them, seeing a few that looked a few year younger than her ogling something in the cage. Wow, sloths were hot shit now, weren’t they? She turned, about to make a snide comment to them, when she noticed a curly headed fuck that looked really familiar. She leaned over the bars, staring. Was her ex boyfriend seriously right there, cleaning up Sloth shit? Andrea shook her head, laughing to herself. No fucking way. Slap my ass and call me your bitch. Is that… Griffin I see? Cleaning up Sloth shit? Never thought I’d see the day. She chuckled to herself, glancing over to see Abby staring at one of the sleeping animals. No way, had to be a dream. He hadn’t seen him in years. She put a hand on her hip, still laughing to herself. Seriously, Griffin? Are you seriously here? She shook her head, in disbelief.

why won't you come over here WE GOT A CITY TO LOVE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
pursing his lips, he was about to just walk off of his job and go do something else, when he heard a familiar voice. was it sad that he couldn't mistake the voice that he had heard? it had to be none other than andrea warren! shit. he glared toward her, making sure that he wasn't having some delusional day dream. maybe the heat was getting to him and making him believe things that weren't really there? why would andrea be in a zoo, of all things? he wasn't quite sure, but he was quite agitated upon being caught. then he was agitated with being called griffin'. rolling his eyes once, he looked to the sky. now, he did care about her, which was seen through him coming all this way. but that didn't mean he showed it. hell, that probably showed through the fact that he had never even told her how much she meant to him. or maybe it was just stress getting to him at the moment that was making him so peeved.
yes, this had to be an 'of the moment' kind of thing, rather than all of this just happening so randomly and catching him off guard. swallowing hard, he opened his mouth and allowed sounds in the form of words to emerge. yeeeeep. and it's cohen, now, by the way,
he stated matter-of-factly, yet tried to use a kind tone. no girl would want to be around a guy that was a complete jerk and self-absorbed, so he was playing the part of a nice guy at the moment. that and he couldn't become too rude with her, or it would defeat his original purpose of being in hawaii -- trying to win her over and get her back. clapping his hnds together a few times, he stepped out of the cage and began to make his way over to her. cohen was an excellent smooth talker. he could talk his way out of this one. really, 'shoveling sloth shit' sounded pretty awful. he'd just re-word it as 'taking care of the animals, because he was a real sweet guy who cared about their well being...' yeah, that sounded amazing. most women loved animals, and they loved people who loved animals. yet, this was andrea, and she knew enough about him to know it would be some kind of a facade. standing face to face with her, he felt himself swallow a bit hard, nervous as he ever had been. really, if it were possible, he'd crap himself and then blame the animals. ha. but no, really, he was really nervous. why hadn't he planned out what he was going to say, and stop himself from looking like a chicken with its head cut off? his eyes then fell to abby and he offered up a weak smile toward her, not really knowing what else he should do as a greeting toward her. cohen was not keen on children at all, but chose not to show some awful side of himself. that's be an amazing impression for andrea -- getting rude with her six year old niece. i believe the correct term is 'job'. i have a job that involves cleaning out the cages of these animals, so they don't wind up diseased or unhealthy. otherwise, this stink would be so much worse, there. that sounded better. almost like he really had a duty in the zoo that made a difference. cohen enjoyed feeling like he had some important role in life, taking care of the animals, which he actually disliked. no one ever had really taken care of him, and yet these animals were waited on hand and foot, as if they were royalty. hell no, he didn't like this. yet he wore a smile on his face that could sometimes be considered as fake as barbie's breasts. he got paid to smile ( he loved to leave out the animal crap part. ). wiping his forehead with the back of the hand, and ridding his face of the beads of sweat that had collected, he offered up a sly smile as a greeting, never thought i'd see you at the zoo, he finally offered up some kind of conversation starter, arms crossed over his chest. it was nice enough without actually being harsh in some way. andrea probably understood cohen's personality and the way he could sometimes be considered as 'catty' or snide, throwing comments to and fro. if someone would put up with the rude remarks, he'd be there to dish them out until he had the person crying for their mother. unless, of course, it was a woman. cohen understood women perfectly, or so he'd like to think. his tactics were simple -- listen, compliment, and just say what they wanted to hear. yeah, so he was an ass for all of that. but it worked, did it not? he had been with plenty of women, even andrea, in bed. but andrea would always hold a place in his heart. and that was not sarcasticness, ladies and gentlemen.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAGGED ?! andrea, played by rachael. :] STATUS ?! I M G O N N A M U S T E R E V E R Y O U N C E O F & C O F I D E N C E I H A V E F O R Y O U I W I L L - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -To say that Andrea never though she’d see Griffin again was probably the biggest understatement since someone said a kite hit the word trade center. The last time she’d seen him, he had a bit of a bruised eye and he was growling at her. Not literally, but his tone of voice was giving her that impression. The last time she’d seen him, they’d beaten the shit out of each other in an argument. Literally, as in both were bruised but not bloody. That was just how Andrea was, she was extremely physical and aggressive, just not in the way that Griffin had wanted her to be. Her eyes darkened at the thoughts. He had taken Andy’s virginity and then wanted to much more to fast. And that was enough to push her over the edge. The thing with Andrea was that she was very easily angered, already borderline crazy in the first place. Someone like Griffin really pushed her over the edge, and that was enough to make her snap. Thus the bruised bodies and hurt egos. The two clashed, which was why they had made such an amazing couple a year ago. Wierdly enough, they had been in love. Not anymore.
What happened with them was something that was in the back of Andrea’s mind at the moment. She was just wondering what the hell he was doing here, in her home town. It was one thing if he came on a random vacation, but he was obviously living here. Working and living in the town that she’d abruptly moved to after their bad breakup. He knew that she was here, that much she was sure of. She hadn’t directly told him she was going to school here, but she knew that he had somehow heard it. It was all the buzz after she left, her father made sure she knew how much everyone missed her. He wanted Andrea back pretty badly he even made it seem like Griffin wanted her back. She almost rolled her eyes thinking of the only thing that he wanted her for. But still, it didn’t make any sense to her why he was here, at the zoo, right now. She suddenly wished she had time to prepare for this random meeting. Sure, Andrea wasn’t exactly excited to see him, after he’d broken her heart and asked for more, but she may as well have looked her best. She quickly looked down at herself, sighing. She looked fine, and she needed to quite acting like such a girl.
Andrea raised her eyebrows as she watched the irritation twitch over his face suddenly. Anyone else would have just seen his pretty face, but she knew him well enough to see his eyes narrow slightly and his lip move downward in an angry way. It all took about a third of a second, but she knew the poor bastard well enough. Her eyebrows couldn’t have been any higher on her forehead as he replied very nonchalantly that he didn’t go by Griffin anymore. That was… strange. She had called him Griffin since she could remember, and she did remember that it was one of the things she liked about him. Sure, it was shallow, but Griffin was a sexy name, that was it. And that was one of the things she hated to admit. Andrea never liked admitting weakness, but that was really hard when her only weakness was standing right there, smelling like sloth crap. It was unreal to her, but she didn’t let it show on her face. She just smirked from under her sunglasses, keeping one eye on her niece. Abby was watching the unmoving sloths, having the patience to get excited when they twitched or yawned. Cute.
The girl watched him walk out of cage with an expressionless face. It had been an extremely long time since she’d laid eyes on him, and she was holding back her up and down look she was dyeing to give him. No sexy eyes though, this was her asshole ex boyfriend. Andrea put her hand on her hip, pulling her sunglasses off of her head. Changed your name, huh? What’d you do now? She smirked, giving him another one of her sarcastic, normal looks. Mainly because he looked so awkward, and that wasn’t really like him. Andrea let out a small chuckle, cocking her head to the side. When he spoke next, she plain didn’t like it. The formal, reserved way he spoke made her want to slap his pretty face. Her serene face turned into an unhappy frown. That wasn’t him, and he couldn’t think that innocent shit would work on her. She wasn’t stupid, Andrea knew him to well to not know that he was trying to smooth talk her. Or just not yell. She couldn’t tell. Either way, she didn’t like it.
Her lips twitched into more of a frown. Don’t pull that nice shit on me, ‘Cohen’. I'm not some bimbo you can pick up on. I know you.. She put little quotations around the word, her voice dripping with sarcasm and annoyance. Honestly, unless he was trying to get her riled up he’d forgotten what she was like. The fact that he thought he could be all nice when he clearly wanted to be his normal self pointed toward those two options. And there was no use in sweet talking her, the boy wasn’t getting laid either way. Well maybe he was, but Andrea wanted nothing to do with it. Hell, she wanted everything to do with it but no one knew that. She ran a hand through her hand at his second comment, smiling her usual smile. The smirk and tone he used made her feel like she knew him a little better. I got the bro’s baby with me, obviously. She gestured to the staring Abby, whose eyes were narrowed at the sloths. She turned back to Griffin/Cohen, and stepped a little closer, looking up at him curiously. The question is, Griffin, what are you doing here, in Hilo? She poked his chest playfully as she said ‘you’. It seemed like nothing had ever happened with them, but it would come up.

griffin snorted loudly at her questioning what he had done that required him to change his name. in reality, he had done nothing too wrong. but after a while, he had become tired of the name griffin being associated with 'player'. no one really had heard the name 'cohen', so it'd be easier to go by that. you'd introduce yourself, and girls ( or whoever you were talking to. ) wouldn't just shake their head at you, because you were a player of some sort. it was like getting a clean slate, without actually starting over. clicking his tongue, he pulled himself from his rather odd mind and just stared hard at her, "well, nothing. just a nice change of pace, i think. don't you?" there he went, just trying to be suave and regain his composure. changing his posture, he rested his arms at the sides of his body lazily and just put all his weight on one side, eyebrow raised. he was challenging her to make some comment toward that. she had made a change and moved to hilo. of course, she had a legitimate reason to do so. but she had made a change, just like he had -- she had moved. and he wasn't willing to give up so easily. cohen wasn't willing to watch some other guy make her happy. he didn't do much of a job, but he could say that he just wasn't going to watch some other man win andrea over. he wouldn't really admit that he felt for andrea. but he did, deep down inside.
cohen couldn't help but let a sly smile slide onto his face and a grin appear, also. he had always been the type that loved to get under peoples' skin. it was not a surprise that he was trying to scratch at andrea, in this way. they had fought quite a bit at the end of their relationship. hell, they had even got into an actual fight, even. but he was still trying to bother her. it was like some odd turn on for him. such as in elementary school, when people would sometimes bully their crushes. just because they didn't want to admit it. yep, that's exactly what this man could be compared to, without a doubt. "i know," he shrugged nonchalantly, looking at her and awaiting her reaction for that. no matter how annoyed he'd become, he was going to try and act as if nothing were phasing him in the least. he'd act like he didn't care about what she was saying, and he'd agree with her. some people would find this whole act of not being bothered, annoying and douchebag-ish. however, what more was cohen supposed to do? make the scene worse and just fight with her... again? no. he wouldn't.
her stating his first name had him scrunching his face up in dissatisfaction, a scowl showing on his face, without any signs of happiness or even smug-ness to it. sighing, he blinked at her a few times, "just heard that this was a nice place. one of my cousins that lived near me, recommended it. why? did i need your permission to be here?" haha. that was a good one. he thought it was an appropriate response. she didn't know all of his cousins. hell, he was sure she didn't know a single one. so she couldn't go off, saying that he was a liar. andrea could go and accuse him of lying, but never really prove it. not until it came out of his own mouth. and believe me, cohen was not going to dare speak of it or let her on. the man had too much pride for that kind of thing. he'd never admit to coming all this way just for a girl. that would make him appear a bit whipped. "oh, and cohen. not griffin. if you keep calling me that, i won't listen to you," the remark had nearly been finished off with a 'that wouldn't really be hard to do.', but that would have just been a little harsh for his taste. the smile came back after a few moments of just studying her, wondering what was going on in her mind. he'd like to think that nothing about him was happening. but he also wanted to be a conceited little asshole and believe that she was thinking about him, and not too harshly. yet, after all the shit that he had put her through, ( what with him always pushing her for sex, after that first time. ) he was sure she didn't think too highly of him. yet, he was a man. he had his needs. and sadly, those needs came between their relationship that could have worked out so beautifully. they were too alike to get along, yet they had began dating. and of course, they broke up. what a sad story. and cohen had wanted to just move on with his life, but apparently he just couldn't. so he went and just did all this. now look at what he was doing -- he was shoveling sloth shit out of a cage, explaining why he was in hilo, and going to the university... that's one thing he hadn't mentioned to her. he'd probably wait a few moments before even hinting at that subject.

I M G O N N A M U S T E R E V E R Y O U N C E O F & C O F I D E N C E I H A V E F O R Y O U I W I L L - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The name change thing wasn’t exactly something she had been expecting, of all the things that she thought would have changed about him. In fact, she thought that would have been the last thing he would have changed. Andrea remembered pretty well that he knew exactly how she felt about his name. Hell, it was sexy and that was that. Andrea had always made a fuss over how much she liked his name, and she would call him that if she damn well wanted to, it wasn’t something that he could control. She noticed his slightly squeamish state, the underlying emotion that other people just plain wouldn’t pick up. Too bad for him, Andrea knew him well enough to know every little twitch, eyebrow raise, scoffed foot, all meant something. “No, I don’t think so. I always liked your name.” Andrea answered, biting her bottom lip slightly. Once again, one of those things she knew he liked. Sure, it wasn’t fair of her at all to tease him, but she was in that kind of mood. The kind where she knew how to push his buttons, get him hot and bothered, piss him off. And she would do just that because she felt like it. Her eyebrow rose, challenging him this time. They were always like that, playing tug of war, seeing who would win.
His simple answer to her statement had her actually grinding her teeth, her jaw clenching. Anyone else would have found Cohen to be completely normal, a nice guy. But the fact that she saw through all that made her realize he was trying to get under her skin with the nice stuff, drive her crazy until she fell off the deep end… again. Andrea’s left hand flexed, her anger at his nonchalant words becoming obvious. He knew she had a short temper, just how to make her hit the end of the switch quickly. But she wouldn’t let him have that satisfaction, not if she could help it. So Andrea breathed out, licking her lips. She was fine. At his next comment she let out a dry laugh, throwing her head back. Andrea shook her head. “If I remember correctly, Cohen, you never needed my permission for anything.” She let out a breath, hating to bring up the past this much. It was hard to think about the present and the past at the same time, though. She kept thinking about how good he looked, how horrible he had been to her, how haughty he was now, how in love they had been. She scowled at her own thoughts; she was being careless. But is still didn’t make sense to her. Why Hilo?
She let out another calming breath, running a hand through her hear carelessly. Andrea shook her head at his answer. Andrea glanced at her bouncing niece, who was still happily looking at the dead looking sloths. How was that exciting at all? Andrea rolled her eyes. She never understood, or liked for that matter, kids. They were too damned bubbly all the time. It was one of the traits that didn’t really go with her, the bubbly thing. Most girls, after seeing there ex boyfriend that they’d been completely in love with, would be all peppy, trying to show them they were just fine. But Andrea was being her complete self, bitter and abrasive. A few people looked at her as they walked by, noticing both of their very tense stance’s. She suddenly realized she appeared to be leering at him like she might jump him. She leaned back, even though she did want to jump him. Andrea just hadn’t decided if she wanted to jump him and hurt him, or rip his clothes off. There was a fine line between hate and lust, he taught her that.
Andrea looked at her, feet, suddenly embarrassed at her behavior. It had been so long since they’d seen each other, why was she choosing now to be a bitch? It was hard for the poor girl to do anything else. She clasped her hands together, looking up at the slightly smelly boy in front of her. “You knew I was living here, Cohen.” She used his name as a weapon, her voice insinuating that she didn’t like that he wanted to be called that. Another thought crept into her mind. Did he want people to call him Cohen because it reminded him of her? Was that why? Did people associate his name with hers? It made her feel a little low, but she wouldn’t let on at all. “I mean, I know I didn’t tell you that directly but…” She trailed off, not really wanting to finish that sentence at all. She rolled her eyes at him insisting she called him Cohen. “I know, I know.” She mumbled. “But if you keep telling me what to do I won’t be listening to you. And that’ll be really awkward and more like a staring contest.” She said, confused at her own words. But she didn’t want him treating her like he could manipulate her like other girls. Andrea wasn’t like other girls, even Griffin/Cohen knew that.

why won't you come over here WE GOT A CITY TO LOVE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
her response had only made a smile tug on his features. however, it held everything that was opposite of good. he was being smug. a jackass. he was just being himself. so she liked something about him, still. that had made his heart jump a little, but he wasn't going to let any sensitivity show. hell, did he even have a nice bone in his body? most likely not. griffin was never one that liked to become weak or vulnerable. she had probably meant it in a way that would probably bother him, anyway. "well, that's too bad. it isn't your choice. and i refuse to respond to 'griffin'," he commented, trying to come back with his own snide remark. he was refusing to lose. he was just like a man, in that he was so competitive that he refused to lose at anything at all. cocking his eyebrow upward, a little, he nearly stated a 'what else do you like about me?', to be an ass. but he really wasn't wanting to cause some kind of a scene that would get him fired. andrea was quite the girl. if she wanted, she could probably find a way to get him fired. so he wasn't wanting to piss her off.
he chewed on his bottom lip, knowing very well what was being brought up, kind of. it wasn't a direct conversation. but cohen was smarter than most people would think. crossing both of his somewhat muscular arms over his chest, he heaved out quite the sigh, that could be heard by everyone that stood near, "nope. and i never will. i'm a big boy," it was true. he had always been a rule breaker. he wasn't afraid to do stuff, and he wasn't afraid to speak his mind. often, girls didn't see the true cohen, until they actually dated him. he took girls for granted, and he knew that he could very regret all this. but honestly, he just wanted to live out his youth while he still could. and people judging him, for that shit? it pissed him off. they probably did some stuff that could be frowned upon, also. clearing his throat, he just kept that same, smart ass smile on his face. he was waiting for the sign that he was winning all this.
he had always had quite a lot of pride. but arguments were the one thing that he absolutely refused to lose in. he had a mouth that may as well spit fire and poison. huffing loudly at her assumption, he knew it was true. andrea also knew. that's why she had verbally stated it. he looked around himself slowly, trying to buy a little time to figure out what his reply to that, could actually be, "yeah, and? what? does that mean i'm not allowed to come here? if i wanted to pester you, i would have come looking for you. but i didn't. i have a life, and i've moved on," traces of agitation started showing in his lie, becoming more apparent by the time he had finished speaking. he knew that andrea was clearly a smart girl. he was the stupid one for thinking that she wouldn't pick up on everything. even a dumbass would figure it out. these things were never hard to solve. so, color him stupid. his eyes narrowed, knowing that he was showing she had the upper hand at the moment -- that he was being set off like a fourth of july fireworks display. it didn't take too much to piss him off, if you knew which buttons to press. she had touched one, too. slowly figuring out what was happening. or maybe he was just becoming defensive, suddenly.
griffin shook his head, his curly hair going every which way as he did so, "no. it'll be more like an 'i'm going back to work, you can stare' contest. i have better things to do," oh. ouch. that was probably a bit harsh, since those 'better things' were cleaning up sloth shit. but his agitation was clear, and he just didn't feel like disguising it at the moment. he looked at the younger child with her, wondering how in the hell she wasn't noticing anything that was happening at the moment. well, it was for the better. cohen wasn't the greatest person with kids, but he wouldn't want to have one noticing the arguing that was going on. stuff like verbal fighting was something that would often scare children. he allowed himself to try and count to ten in his mind and allow him to relax. the most depressing thing about all of this? he couldn't go out and get laid to relax. not with andrea on his mind. no. griffin would wind up calling the girl he was sleeping with, by andrea's name. wouldn't that be a great ending?

How stupid did he think he was? The bad part was, he knew exactly waht he was doing. Andrea was pretty sure the two knew each other two well, they knew exactly how to push eachother's buttons a little to much. It made for an interesting conversation. Andrea glanced back at the oblivious Abby, grinning at how simple everything was for her. Sometimes she wanted to go back to that time. Before puberty, boys, love, anything. Unfortunetly, growing up was happening whether Andea liked it or not. And not liking growing up was part of growing up... right? Most of Andrea's child hood had been the normal kid stuff, but as soon as she hit thirteen, her life just changed. More like her adittude, but it really changed the world around her when she wanted to kill anyone who lived inside it. Agression was something everyone had to get used to when being around her as well.
It seemed like frowning was something that was becoming a normal occurance with Andrea, especially since she learned that a boy she had been in love with was here, and that he was just the same. Meaning, the moron was still a huge ass hole. Awesome, just great. Fine. Andrea mumbled, giving up on her plight to call him by his actual name. It was stupid, but whatever floated his boat, she figured. Not that she gave a shit what floated his boat, she just really didn't want to get into that argument right now. Andrea glanced over at the prancing Abby. She let out a small giggle for the girl, she was so happy. Her smile turned to a frown, though. Was she secretly being mocked?
