Ares sighed as he waited for others to enter the tent. His long hair flowed over his shoulders, as he thought about battle plans. He had been in one large battle before but that was defending a objective. Now...He had to take it. But the odds of him winning this battle and liberating the city of Muraan, are slim to none. The combined might of the Lords of Amn couldn't defeat this force...How could Ares? Ares has plans and he had good soldiers. He was sitting leisurely in his chair, with his feat on top of the long table that sat in the middle of the tent. He didn't want to look like a cocky elf but he wanted to relax before going out to what might be the end of his short military career.
Ares scratched his chin and then watched as the first of the people his sent the messenger to retrieve. Cherub Vassago and Seraph Samigina. Ares dropped his feat and his eyes went straight to Seraph. He barely even noticed the others that they brought with them. His eyes lingered on Seraph, but eventually moved to her partner, Cherub Vassago. Ares had heard about his alchmey skills that will surely come in handy for the upcoming battles."I am very glad you got my message and that your here, Seraph and Cherub, it is nice to meet you finally, I have heard a lot about you." he said with a smile. He stood up and extended his hand to the both of them. He hand lingered on Seraphs for just a second but a second that he enjoyed. Her skin was soft and delicate and he enjoyed the touch between them immensely."Yes we do have things to talk about in the battles ahead but for now we will wait for the others." he said with a smile and a nod. He hoped there was more spellcasters...They would need them the most.
Just as he was about too sit down, Alexander came through the tents flap and nodded at Ares with a blank look. Ares didn't return that blank look but gave him a smile and a nod. He was friends with Alexander but Alexander's term of friends is people he can tolerate."Thank you for coming Alexander. I'm sorry for dragging you out here in your present condition but we need your help. I'm sure Cherub here can come up with something to help with the wounds. " he said nodding towards Cherub. He turned back to Alexander with a smile and then the man called Blaze entered. Ares was shocked at first. He wasn't sure that he would come...He was a quasi-deity first of all and he was very powerful. Ares stood up and walked over to him and extended his hand."I am honored by your presence Blaze Cynderskin. I wasn't sure if you were going to come but you are more valuable then 20,000 soldiers." he said with a smile. He didn't want to disrespect this, you can say, god. He could probably destroy his whole army.
And then another person entered rather awkwardly. Ares turned from facing Blaze and went back to his chair at the head of the table. He looked at her and smiled when she came up to him and said what she said."It is great to have you here Ezekiel." he said patting the woman on the shoulder. Now everyone was here...This was his war council."Hello everyone. I am Ares Enyalios, if you do not know. Some call me the Bladesinger General, some call me the Wielder of the Warblade. But you all can call me General or Ares if you prefer. Now...To begin, I am going to bestow ranks to you all because you all will be the leaders of this army. Cherub, your rank is Major of the Army. So is yours Seraph. Your companions are given the rank of Lieutenant. Alexander, you are my second in command and you are given the rank of Colonel. Blaze you are also given the rank of Major. Ezekiel you are given the rank of Captain." he said with a smile and a nod."And another thing...There is a temple of Selune inside the city. I need someone to get inside there and get their support. Are there any volunteers?" he said looking around. He continued talking "This is the War Council and therefore you can speak freely. Speak your battle plans. Please." he finished.
