most of the time, the alexandrian household was quite loud and busy, between the three siblings, to carmo's twins, there was rarely a dull moment between the walls. however, in this moment in time, there was barely anything going on. izobel and gaspar had both left to go on some dinner date for whatever number anniversary this was. and cat wasn't around, which was not a surprise. car and cat had never really been on the best of terms. and their younger brother was hanging out with some friends. so carmo was left at home, sitting in the living room and watching over mauricio and mirari. although, she usually just called them rici and mimi. their eyes were focused on the television which seemed to be playing some children's show. really, carmo was paying little attention to what was on, and her eyes were mainly focused on them. rici was quiet, like always, sipping on his juice that was nearly empty. while mimi had already drank all of her's, and was pleasantly babbling away.
however, the peace had been disturbed within no time, after rici had stuck his pacifier in his mouth, and mimi wasn't happy about it for whatever weird reason. carmo would have guessed that mimi was just in one of those grumpy moods. so, she quickly raised a hand and took the pacifier right from his mouth. now, what this started would be an argument ( or really, a screaming war, seeing as they were both babies. ). it didn't last too long before mimi had grabbed rici's arm and pinched rather hard, a dangerous smile on her face. this is what carmo had become used to. mimi! bad! no-no! carmo had corrected, getting up from the couch before grabbing rici up off of the floor, who was pretty much screaming and crying. and as she did that, mimi looked up at her with those big blue eyes of her's, her bottom lip stuck way out and quivering. it was a normal thing. carmo paid no mind, knowing she shouldn't exactly be babying her for doing anything wrong. carrying her son back over to the couch, she sat down and let him nuzzle his head into her neck, trying to be cuddled.
it didn't take too long before mauricio had become comfortable and fallen into a light slumber, the same couldn't be said for his sister, however. she had began to bawl, figuring out that what she had done was possibly wrong. it was times like these when carmo wanted to pull her hair out. but what she usually did, was instead drag drew right into the picture. leaning a little so as not to disturb the sleeping child, she pulled her cell phone out of her bottom pocket and opened it to text drew. he was probably the person that she attempted to talk to most of the time, for obvious reasons. she had tried several times to try and get him go out with her. sure, it was illegal for that kind of stuff to happen, but she didn't care. it wasn't like they could keep it secret until she turned eighteen. hell, her eighteenth birthday wasn't too far away.
'hey, big boy. u should come over. the rents r gone. and ur daughter won't stop crying. ): xx', she had typed out before pressing 'send' and rested her cell phone on the seat beside herself. she was always careful about having drew come over. her father wasn't too impressed with him, and she was sure he wouldn't agree with the fact that he was mimi and rici's father. that's why it was kept a secret... beside the reason that he could be arrested for rape of sorts. really, carmo had originally lied about her age when they started sleeping with each other. what else was she supposed to do? he was hot, and she had wanted to get with him. plus, it wasn't as if carmo never lied. she'd never get anywhere fast if she was always honest. anyway, a few times in the sack, and carmo had wound up pregnant. she told everyone that she had no idea who the father was, and fortunately, the children didn't look much like him at all.
apart from the fact that mimi had large blue eyes. but no one seemed to take notice to that fact. the twins acknowledged he was their father, however. if they'd call him 'dada' in front of everyone, she'd just make up some excuse. it wasn't that hard to do. really, she could say they were just being babies... or that they recently learned the word and thought that all guys were 'dada'. it would work perfectly, no doubt. sitting up a little, carmo got comfortable and looked at the door as mimi crawled over to the couch and sat in front of it, sniffling quietly. still, there were traces that she had been crying. such as her lip still quivering, and her eyes being all red and puffy. but at least she wasn't wailing. reaching with her free arm, carmo attempted to pull the small girl up on the couch, so she'd be seated up there.
suddenly, mimi had pressed her face into carmo's arm, starting to cry again. all car could think of was that maybe mirari was just tired and needed to sleep. it was around eight pm and they'd usually be napping, at least.
[ internet's slow for a while, so i'll make this prettier in a bit. <3 ]

Drew’s jaw clicked back and forth as he lay on his bed, completely bored out of his mind. His fingers played with the end of his bed sheets as his eyes trained on the television. Sure, working would have been a good thing to do, but unfortunetly for him, he didn’t work as late as seven, since his boss hated him and it seemed like he was cutting his hours back until he fired him. The poor guy wouldn’t be able to survive here pretty soon. He was barely making enough money to keep his apartment, let alone pay for food and other things. He rolled his eyes without thinking about it when he thought of other things. The other things he was thinking about were his two kids. He had to pay for a lot of things, even though Carmo didn’t ask a lot of him, he felt extremely obligated. How could he not? One of his little swimmers had caught on, and now he had twin boy and girl kids, and he loved the hell out of them. That was one of the hardest parts for him. He wanted them to be happy, and Car’s family was pretty well off. But he wanted to help out, and her father made that kind of hard for him. Hell, he wouldn’t like himself either if he knew his daughter had sex with some guy she had barely known. His paternal instinct kicked in, and he knew he would beat the shit out of anyone who did that to his daughter.
All it took for him to be a father was one night and one feisty girl. Sure, he’d hooked up with her at a party, but after that he couldn’t really help but call her again. Someone who left you wanting more like she did. Drew shifted uncomfortably on the couch as he thought of her. It had been alright before, but now when he thought about it, it made him seem a little screwed up. Thinking about sex with a girl four years younger than him; she was still in high school. He shook his head. She hadn’t seemed seventeen that night, or those nights, or any other time she’d seen him. No, he remembered her seeming particularly more… mature than other girls he met. His lips curled into a smile involuntarily. Drew sighed, pushing himself up from his bed and switching the television off. He needed to do something else that didn’t have his mind wandering it to illegal places it shouldn’t have been. He put on a white v neck and changed out of his sweats and into a pair of jeans. He tested the saginess and decided that he needed a belt and grabbed the nearest brown belt to him. Drew snatched his car keys and locked his apartment, narrowly escaping his landlady as he snuck out the back. He snickered as he heard her yelling and cussing. The old lady had a mouth on her, he would give her that. For a seventy two year old, at least. He wondered if she had kids.
Drew hopped into his car, smiling at the small purring sound it made. Sure, it was an old Volkswagen, but he’d fixed it up pretty good on his own. It was a perk of being a mechanic, one of them anyways. Apparently girls loved guys who weren’t afraid to get dirty. He smirked, he’d used that a few times. Carmo really liked that. Drew growled to himself, trying to get his mind straight. He pulled out of the parking lot and headed onto the road, watching the flashing lights around him as the sun started to set. He looked around for a few minutes before deciding that he wanted to get ice cream. He pulled into the dairy queen started walking in. When he felt his butt vibrate he pulled his phone out of his back pocket and looked at the screen. A picture of a half naked Carmo showed up. She was practically flashing the camera, on his bed, wearing his shirt. He looked down at himself. The shirt he was wearing now. Awesome, that was great. He shook his head and opened the phone as he walked in, smirking as he read the text. The beginning of it started off well, and then it ended with the words, daughter won’t stop crying. Of course, always the kids. He typed, i’ll be over in five, bringing ice cream and then sent it. He would be a nice guy and grab her something, too.
Drew quickly got a hot fudge sundae for her and a vanilla cone for himself. The kids would probably stick there fingers in the food, so to be safe he bought two of each. He smiled at the girl behind the counter, paid and then headed out. He balanced the ice creams in his lap as he drove, cussing when he spilled a little on his shirt. He pulled up to her house, hurrying so he could put the ice creams down on the counter before he dropped them. Drew burst in, cussing as he opened the fridge and placed two inside. He took a moment to breath, and then picked up the other ice creams. Drew let out a sheepish grin as he walked over to Carmo, with one baby draped over an arm and the other crying, she looked a bit stressed. He saw Mimi’s eyes lift from her mother and latch onto him. Drew’s face changed into a warm smile and he cooed, Hey, baby. You miss daddy? He crouched down on his knees and crawled over to where the three were sitting. He put the ice cream on the side table and scooped up his daughter as she bounced off the couch. Drew couldn’t keep the happy smile from his face as Mimi jumped on him, screeching the words, Dadda! In his ears as she landed on his front. He fell over on his back, tickling her belly as he made various noises and weird sounds that could only be described as loving. He laughed for a few moments and sat up, hugging his daughter close to him. Her blue eyes were shining, the only resemblance to him that the two of them. Mauricio was more attatched to his mom, but he loved them both. He sat Miriari in his lap, holding her little fingers as he looked up at Carmo. So… I brought you some ice cream.

she heard her cell phone buzz, and tried to reach over to read the text. amazing! he was surely coming over. carmo didn't bother telling mimi, however. it'd probably be better that he would surprise her. she waited a while, before he emerged inside the house. he had been correct in saying that it wouldn't take long. smiling, she listened to him as he made his way to the fridge, and then right into the living room to greet everyone. and to say that the scene that unraveled didn't make her smile, would be a lie. carmo had always been rather glad that he was in his childrens' lives. she found it endearing to sit and watch how mimi and rici reacted the moment they would see him. usually mimi would have more of an excited reaction to him, but that was because she could be quite the daddy's girl at times. carmo liked that, though. all she usually needed to be cheered up, was a visit from drew.
well, you didn't need to, drew. i'm just happy that you showed up. mauricio had his pacifier in his mouth, and she took it from him. then they started arguing... or whatever that yell-babbling would be called. then, before i knew it, she was hurting him and then all the crying started. him, because he was hurt. and her, because i scolded her, it was a long explanation. but that had been what happened. and she thought she'd bring him up to speed on why she had been crying. she had no trouble at all in keeping eye contact as she spoke. there had always been something about his eyes. the way they looked. or how she felt when she looked into them. or the way they just spelled trouble, but she ignored them. that's what got her into this situation. she hadn't been able to deny him anything, even though she knew it was risky in so many ways.
it was nothing surprising. he was a bit rough around the edges. not in a way that meant no one liked him. but he wasn't the most perfect person around. yet, carmo was also very far from perfect. even though she had her twins, she was out partying quite frequently. and sometimes she'd still sleep with random men. it wasn't as if she were going to drag them back to her home, though. that could possibly confuse the twins, and car wasn't about to deal with that. also, the guys she slept with never knew about her having twins. hell, they couldn't even usually recall her name. that would be a good thing, really. one night stands were always left as that. come morning, carmo had disappeared as if she were never in the guy's home in the first place. maybe that's what made drew special. she would have never dreamed of handing out a number or anything to someone she had sex with. her number had wound up in his phone. before carmo could think, she had began to wind up in his bed more frequently. there had been something about him that had her coming back, which of course would be the fact that he was nothing short of amazing, in bed.
trying to scoot over a little more on the couch, she patted a seat next to herself for him to sit, a smile on her face. she couldn't help but smile at how cute it was that mimi adored him so much. usually, carmo had a lot of people around, just wanting to help out with the twins. but she really loved it whenever drew was around, simply because of how he had taken to the twins so well. he hadn't run off the moment she told him that she was pregnant, like she thought he would. there were quite a few guys out there that wouldn't have stepped up and so much as see their kids.
if they wind up hyper from this ice cream, i'm sending them with you, she teased, before lightly shaking mauricio's arm to wake him up. it took a few tries, but finally, mauricio pushed away from carmo and just looked around before his eyes immediately found drew. but he merely smiled wide at him, quiet as he usually was. really, carmo had no idea where he got his quiet personality. she had always heard that it was the possibility that his pacifier was always in his mouth, therefore making him not want to speak. but if she took that away from him, he'd throw a large tantrum that could only be helped with the assistance of the pacifier. at the present time, mauricio didn't have one stuck in his mouth.
carmo studied the floor as if there were something interesting to be found about it. the only thing she would probably find was the fact that there was a topic she wanted to bring up, but she wasn't willing at the moment. especially in front of mii and rici. it was the idea of them actually dating, even though she knew he'd be quick to reject it. carmo knew him rather well. she had tried to ask him about a possible relationship before, and that didn't work. but she understood. it would have been dangerous, yet fun.
[ asdfasdf. i'm barely awake, so this is probably a shitty post. sorry ! ]

Drew had never known what it felt like to have someone love him and not care about anything else, but he was sure that he knew now, after having someone always want to be with him, hang around him, on him, whatever. He kissed Mimi’s forehead as she giggled and drooled on him. This shirt would really need washing later. Now it had baby drool and ice cream on it. Yum, that was just what he needed to keep himself up, the smell, anyway. He couldn’t help but let out another laugh as his daughter burped a little, her eyes suddenly drooping. Kids were so funny, little splurges of energy and then periods of time when you couldn’t get them to wake up if a bomb exploded over their heads. And that was usually when they needed to be awake, and then when you needed them to be asleep, they were bouncing up and down. Like these two, for instance, would be extremely hyper and jumping off the walls in about two hours, when everyone wanted to sleep. It was just so simple for them, they had no idea about anything else in life, just eat, sleep, poop, love. Drew almost sighed, wishing his life was that simple.
Drew listened to her explanation, nodding as he looked up at her. Mimi tended to be a bit more aggressive than her quieter brother; she took from her dad’s side. He still couldn’t decide how he got that trait; both Drew and Car were very loud people. But hey, his parents had been pretty conservative, maybe it was a skipped thing. He looked at Mimi. Baby Mimi is gonna have some anger problems later in life, aren’t you, Mimi? He laughed as she just looked at him, her big clear blue eyes just watching him. That was unnerving, but she was so damned cute. Drew sighed, picking the girl up with a sweep of his arm, she giggled as he did and made swooshing noises as he plopped her into his arms. Drew watched Carmo pat the seat and he headed over, setting himself down on the couch easily so he didn’t jostle the tired looking boy in Car’s arms. He let out a breath, sighing as Mimi curled up on him, sticking her thumb in her mouth. He shook his head with a chuckle and grabbed his ice cream off the side table.
He took a lick of it and looked down at Mimi, who was staring up at him again. Just like he’d thought, she started reaching up for the ice cream. He chuckled. I don’t plan on giving them any. I worked hard to get this ice cream in the house, and I sure as hell aren’t letting a baby take it from me. He raised an eyebrow at the pawing tot and pulled the ice cream towards himself. He took a huge bite of it, grimacing from brain freeze. He glanced over at Carmo, who was looking at the floor as if God had just sprung from it and was now doing the chicken dance or something. He wondered what was bothering her, but also didn’t think much of it. If Drew knew anything about her, she would speak up when she felt like it, that was just how she was. He stretched his left arm out, laying it over the back of the couch as he settled in. He sat like a true guy; legs sprawled out and sunk deep into the couch.
He actually knew exactly what was keeping the girl quiet, and she knew his answer to her age old question. No, it was a bad idea, illegal, her dad would kill him, and more. Hooking up was bad enough, since it was technically illegal, and he could be arrested for statuary rape. If only they knew what she was like, they wouldn’t point it out to be Drew’s fault. But you couldn’t exactly tell the judge that the girl was a super freak in bed in front of her parents. The dating thing was just to sketchy for him. He didn’t want to be a cradle robber, especially if he was robbing the cradle while taking care of the kids. That was wrong in about of a million ways. He settled deeper into the couch, closer to Carmo and Rici. He grinned at his son, who was now looking at him with dopey eyes. He had a feeling that boy would be lazy later on in life. When she mentioned about her being thankful about being over, he let out a lazy noise. You don’t need to worry about it. I love seeing these little guys. And my boss is slowly firing me at this point, so I have plenty of time on my hands. He growled to himself as he thought of being fired, he wouldn’t be able to afford a lot of things. Things like ice cream, baby stuff. It was stressful, being a father. More than he let on, he didn’t want Carmo to know he was having a hard time. He had actually been looking for a higher paying job for a few months, actually since the twins were born.

she nodded her head in reply to what he had said. mimi was going to be quite hard to handle when she got older, all due to that temper she'd most likely have, you know, if she does, i'll be blaming you, drew, despite the whole comment being playful, there was a bit of an undertone to it, as if she were being snippy. carmo wasn't wishing to piss him off, as much as she was just being herself. a lot of people did tend to say she was a bit feisty or wild. so she'd sometimes make some remarks that people wouldn't be too happy about. but she tried her best not to care about the opinions of other's. after all, they were just words. i mean, you're the aggressive one, right? that's when the smart assed smile snuck onto her face. no way in hell could carmo be blamed for mimi being a bit of trouble later in life. ha. carmo had always been told that girls were easier to handle, and mimi proved that all to be false.
really, it was as if any child that was young, could walk or crawl, and knew how to eat, had a food alarm. carmo could never really eat anything without it being eaten for her. she'd be lucky if she even got two bites of whatever it was that she was eating. her eyes studied mirari as she tried to get the sweet food that was in drew's posession. she held back a giggle, shaking her head at drew. yeah? well, you better keep a damn close eye on it. babies are thieves, you know, she commented. it'd be rather hilarious if he were looking away for even a mere second, only to have mimi sticking her fingers in it to just taste. that had actually happened to carmo when she was eating mashed potatoes. rici's eyes seemed to just study him and see if there was anything different about him. his eyes found none other than the ice cream that drew had. excitedly, he tried to wriggle out of carmo's grasp to get closer to his father and the ice cream. in that same enthusiastic mood, he began to babble loudly, maybe even yelling. leave it to ice cream to get him to talk and actually stop being surprised. would it be so wrong to say that carmo would have not guessed otherwise?
sighing, carmo just nodded at his comment and could only frown. she had always wanted to help him find another job, not that she found anything wrong with his current one. but she was always wanting to help him. after all, he was the father of her children. however, she didn't think he'd appreciate the help. plus, it would probably be embarassing to say that a seventeen year old had helped you find a job. so she kept her nose out of it, as long as it didn't involve her or the children directly. if you ever need help with anything... carmo had trailed off, just at least letting him know. her family was wealthy, and it wasn't like she couldn't sneak a bit of money off them with a few lies, ( ' my friend's birthday is coming up, can i take her shopping ' ) or just plain take some money without saying anything. they wouldn't miss it. hell, her father was a surgeon. her mother was now a stay at home mother, and was usually quick to take care of anything that the twins needed.
finally, she found that it was the right timing to bring up the topic. he was no longer speaking, so she felt it was right for her to. it was also kind of bothering her, weighing quite heavily on her chest. clearing her throat to get his full attention, she turned her head to him and just mustered up a slightly pathetic smile. really, it wasn't easy asking a question when you were alredy set to be rejected. but she could keep trying, and thinking up reasons why he should date her. carmo really believed that this one was a good reason, however, and he'd be dumb to still reject her after this, i'm going to be eighteen in several more months... like, not illegal. i honestly don't believe dating a few months early would be a bad idea,
there. that was the reason -- she was going to be eighteen in march. she had never found anything wrong. carmo wasn't going to say anything to anyone, and she was a good liar. she'd be able to come up with something, certainly.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS // finito! He had just been kidding around, she was getting a little snappy all the sudden. He looked over at her, a confused expression on his adorable face. The snappiness wasn’t really like her. Sure, he knew that Car was a person who had mood swings, but it didn’t make sense for her to be mad at him. He looked at her curiously for a moment, noting the hardness in her jaw, and how she seemed generally agitated. He really couldn’t blame her for anything. Carmo was with the twins all day, and he only saw them every once and a while, so it wasn’t really fair to her to have to be with them when he couldn’t be. That was why he was there as much as possible. So why was she angry now? He didn’t know, but he didn’t want to provoke her either. She was delicate, and he wasn’t going to pity her or anything, because he knew that would just make her madder. Instead, Drew put on his pretty face and licked his lips in thought, an annoying habit that apparently worked its wonders on the ladies. He wasn’t trying to hit on her now, but he didn’t want to get in a fight over something, either.
He chuckled quietly at her snide comment. Drew knew exactly what she meant, and that she wasn’t referring to his verbal skills but rather his more… important ones. He smirked slightly, leaning over a little closer to her. If I’m remembering right, I’m not the only one. Drew winked slightly, leaning back over when he felt ice cream fall on his shirt. He frowned at Mimi, who was giggling with ice cream on her fingers. He grabbed her heand, pretending to eat it as he licked the ice cream off them. Mimi giggled and squealed uncontrollably and he loved every second of it. He put a little of the vanilla ice cream on his finger and then swiped it on her nose. Drew watched in amusement as the little girls bright blue eyes swerved to her nose, and she was completely cross eyed. He watched for a moment before deciding that he didn’t want her to get stuck like that, and wiped it off. Mimi frowned at him, but stared at his lips like she always did. Talking seemed to be a fascinating thing to her, since she hadn’t quite managed to do that yet. Sometimes he would look over, and the two of them would just be sitting on the floor, moving their lips like zombies with no sound coming out. It was kind of weird, but very civilized for year old babies.
Drew took another lick of his ice cream, warily avoiding Mimi’s pudgy little fingers. I’m starting to realize that. They should switch that saying around, the one about the stealing candy from babies. He watched Mimi with a careful eye as he finished his ice cream off, licking his fingers and raising his eyebrows at his bouncing daughter. He reached his hand out and starting rubbing her back, and as soon as Drew did, Mimi leaned into him, her small arms wrapping around his neck. He laid back into the couch, closing his eyes for a moment. He hadn’t realized how worn out he was until now, and he just felt like falling asleep, cradling his baby girl. But Car’s next comment had his head snapping up in an agitated way. Drew clenched his jaw. He knew that her family had money, but help from her parents, or she was the last thing that he wanted. He knew that if he asked, Carmo would give him money. But he didn’t want to depend on her. He was the father; he should be bringing in more money. His mind wouldn’t grasp that he just couldn’t handle it. That he was barely hanging on himself. But he would never let on that much, not to anyone else.
After a few moments of silence, he ignored her question, pretending to not have heard it. But then she brought something else, something that he knew she would, because she did almost every time they saw each other. He held in an exasperated sigh, and just gave a tight shake of his head. It just wasn’t a good idea for them to date, not at all. The age difference was to much, and it was plain illegal. Carmo, it just can’t happen. Drew was all for bending and snapping the rules, for minor misdemeanors, anything else. But this would label him as a rapist, someone who couldn’t be trusted around women. He didn’t want that, even if he ended up married to Carmo for some weird reason, which he knew wouldn’t happen at all. He let out a breath, trying to find a way to word it right. Instead he just blurted out, You’re parents hate me already, if they knew I was the father if your kids they’d shit themselves. I could go to jail if anyone found out. Then what would they do? He looked down at the babies that were falling asleep on them. They wouldn’t have a father. Drew looked down at himself and his voice fell quieter, a bit embarrassed. I mean, I know I’m not much of one now, but I don’t want to be locked up when they’re growing up. I don’t want them to think their dad is a creeper when they grow up. Drew wasn’t used to feeling so sentimental, but there was something about them that made him to that.

S H A R P E N U P Y O U R T E E T H & Y O U R D R E A M S A R E M O R E T H A N W O R T H D E F E N D I N G IN A FIGHT THAT'S NEVER ENDING, GO ON. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -carmo couldn't help but smile at him licking his lips. honestly, she was never able to resist smiling or staring at him when he'd do it. carmo always blamed it on the fact that he was just that attractive, and irresistable. only someone that was blind or turned off from men could reject him. if they had slept with him, then they certainly wouldn't be able to stay away. carmo could be the living example of that. but it had done been explained many times before. most guys, just plain sucked in bed. but no. not drew. of course drew had to be the one that she kept wanting, regardless of the fact she'd probably never get him. yet, she was still willing to try, and dismiss the fact. leave it to her to want to date the one guy that didn't want her in that way. but he was constantly on her mind. everything about him was permanently engraved in her memory like some handprint in cement. the way he could just so easily have any girl that he would like, and he'd make it look just as easy as reciting the alphabet. or the way his body looked when he was undressed. no. no, she couldn't start thinking about that. she shook the rather devious thoughts from her mind, and once more eyed him. it didn't really help with the place her mind had wandered to.
his reply to her comment also made it worse. her whole face was painted a light pink, which was barely visible under her tanned skin. it wasn't a normal reaction, but she had been caught off guard -- not really expecting such a reply. add in the fact that he had scooted closer for the smallest fraction of a second, and you got the ingredients for a blushing carmo. oh, touche. my mind is in places that it shouldn't be, and you're not helping,
she stated in a snide manner, winking back at him. really, she couldn't help it. carmo was just a natural flirt, and a touchy feely person. she was damn good at lying, too, and that was why she was in the current situation that she was in now. she hated that she was confused anymore on what she wanted. it was easy to see that the man seated by her always had her mind working in funny ways. damn you, teenage mind and hormones. she found a distraction in the shape and form of her daughter, however. she giggled quietly as she watched the way she acted around her father. there was no doubt that she was a daddy's girl. a grin swept over her face again as he remarked how the age old saying about taking candy from a ab should have been changed. she could actually say that she agreed. babies were more of thieves than people were. what with their damn cute babbling and big, innocent eyes. they could virtually get anything they so much as wanted, if they just bat their eyelashes at whoever had what they wanted to get their little, itty bitty hands on. funny how being younger could change people's assumptions of yourself. if only carmo was still a child. then none of this would have ever happened. they all had such carefree lives to lead, like nothing was ever going to stop them from doing what they wanted. she was just hoping that whenever mauricio and mirari got older, they'd understand that they shouldn't throw anything away or waste away their lives. basically, she was just hoping they'd take a different route than the one she had walked down. it was kind of saddening to know that the men carmo would sleep with were the only kind she could ever get. she already had an established reputation of being easy. no man that wanted something serious with her, would ever want to date. that's just how it went. she showed no respect for herself, so other guys weren't going to show her any amount of respect, either. his head had snapped up, she hd noticed that after waiting to see if he did need anything. and apparently he didn't, because he had ignored what she said and just went onto the next subject. the suggestion of going out. and, of course he turned it down. you would think that carmo would be used to this, especially after being rejected so many times. but she constantly held an air of hope that he would be accepting, and they'd wind up girlfriend and boyfriend, officially. but those kinds of dreams never seemed to happen. she didn't want to say anything more. but her voice box seemed to think different, as she began to reply, trying to find every reason in the book as to why they should date, we wouldn't get caught, though. we could keep it on the low... just like how i'm doing with our kids, that was her argument to that. it always made her rather depressed to know that she was fighting for nothing, possibly. sighing heavy and dramatically, she looked to mauricio who was staring straight at her, not understanding too much that was coming out of her mouth, i wouldn't let you go. come on, drew. put yoursel in my shoes. it's not like i'm going to be jailbait that much longer. at least tell me you'll really think about it, drew. please? that was all she could muster out, feeling like a moron for even asking or bringing up the topic.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS // finito! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I DONT WANNA BE THE FOOLT H A T G E T S L E F T B E H I N D I N T H E D U S T_________________________________________________ Drew watched a smile form on his lips and a satisfied smirk appeared on his own face. He loved that he could make her blush, get a little nervous, anything. Sure, most girls either really liked that or really hated it, but he did it either way. He didn’t have much power in the world, but he liked to think he had a certain influence over women that some other guys didn’t have. He felt her eyes on him, on all of him, and couldn’t help the delicious grin that covered his face. His eyes looked sort of lazy, but very attractive at the same time. Sometimes the guy didn’t even have to work for it, it just came to him. Drew wasn’t cocky, he just knew what to do. It was one of the things that he’d learned form his brother. When he was around fifteen, his older brother was in college, and he was always bringing girls home, hanging out with Drew with them. Silently, Drew would watch and learn, and his older brother would just laugh when he heard stories about him sneaking out and his family finding him sneaking back in the early morning hours. He wasn’t much of a brother, but that was one of the useful things he learned from him in the years he remembered.
Now look where that had him. Sitting on a couch with his not-girlfriend and two kids. Thanks, big bro. Drew let out a sigh that meant nothing, blinking a few times to pull himself out of his reverie. The last thing he needed was so bring up random memories of his AWOL brother. He instead shoved himself into the moment. Sorry about that… he wasn’t sorry at all, that much was pretty obvious. Another adorable smirk covered his face, and his fingers ran through his daughter’s thin dark hair. At least they didn’t have blonde babies that would have been one thing he wouldn’t have liked. Drew never liked blonde girls, and he definitely wouldn’t have liked it if he carried the blonde and blue eyes gene. His entire family had dark hair and dark eyes, but there was a worry at first, when the kids had yellow hair. It darkened out in time, but still. Drew internally slapped himself. He was worried about his bastard kids having blonde hair; he had way bigger things to worry about. Like jail, being killed brutally by her father, kicked out of his apartment.
Drew shifted uncomfortably in thought, and decided to change the subject a little. He glanced over at Carmo’s melting ice cream and jutted his head toward it. Are you gonna eat that, or should I give it to Rici? He chuckled; the baby boy was squirming a little and reaching for the ice cream. It was almost as if the boy knew how to not be rude, because he wasn’t pushing or kicking or pushing against her in anyway like Mimi did against Drew. He just wiggled a little, trying to get his point across. He was pretty sure he knew who would be doing the butt kicking when they were older, when the siblings got into fights. Mimi would be a force to be reckoned with. He smiled lovingly down at her just thinking about it. He wasn’t really sure when a part of him turned into a daddy kind of a guy. He’d always been the kind of guy who didn’t care at all about anyone else, just himself. And in reality, he really didn’t care that much for Carmo, either. It made him feel like a complete ass to say it, but it was true. He had slept with her numerous times, but other than her being the mother of his twins, he didn’t feel much of a connection with her. But he couldn’t just tell her that, or let her know that in any other way. So he played along. He thought he could learn to like her more, he just didn’t know much about her yet.
They’d been through a lot together, but nothing that involved getting to know each other. That was the tough thing. The first time he saw his kids was almost a month after they were born cause no one was leaving her alone enough so he could come over and see them, and her parents sure as hell weren’t letting her out of the house to see him. They didn’t know about Drew being the father, and if they did all hell would break lose. And that was one of the things that was just swimming around in his head, taunting him. He could never be with Carmo, at least not until she was at least twenty. And once again, the truth spilled from his mind. He wasn’t waiting that long, not for her. He shook his head stubbornly and ran a hand through his hair, letting out a deep, semi annoyed breath. No. Carmo, it’s not happening, at least not for a while. If anyone found out the truth about the whole thing, it wouldn’t be your choice to let me go or not. He raised his eyebrow, challenging her. His eyebrow came back down again and his confidence faltered when her voice changed and she seemed sad and embarrassed. Once again, making him feel bad. His voice went softer, and he reached over and pushed hair back from her face. I’ll think about it. That was gross. Why was this nice side coming out, why now?

S H A R P E N U P Y O U R T E E T H & Y O U R D R E A M S A R E M O R E T H A N W O R T H D E F E N D I N G IN A FIGHT THAT'S NEVER ENDING, GO ON. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -carmo's eyes shifted to her ice cream and then toward rici, whose main goal had changed to eating the sweet tasting food. she just studied him, as he seemed ever so determined to get it. reaching, she grasped it and pulled it from him before he had a chance to create a sticky mess all over himself. as she held it to the other side, he had began to make his way in that direction. carmo just directed her attention to the ice cream before beginning to eat it, which was pretty difficult with a one year old staring you down, practically begging for a little of it. blinking at him, she couldn't help but find the way he had began to pucker out his bottom lip rather cute. yet, she felt bad after a few seconds and just let him have a small amount. carmo then continued trying to eat it, doing her best to keep it out of her son's reach as he tried to devise ways to get to his mother's food. i'll share with him, her reply came rather quick and she finished it off by sticking out her tongue at him.
she placed the ice cream by her body and then turned her attention to rici for the time being. grabbing him, she attempted to hold him in a position that could hopefully get him to sleep. no way in hell was carmo willing to pull an all nighter, just trying to entertain the two babies. it didn't take much to get either of the babies wired. finallly, rici seemed to relax a little, and gave into what she was trying to get him to do. his eyes just stared up at her, holding no actual emotion except for the traces of him being content.
inhaling sharply, she looked at him and just let his reply sink in. it'd hurt carmo for a bit, but she'd be back to her normal self within no time, up and ready to try asking him again. swallowing down the rejection, she went to look away, not wanting him to see the fact that she had once again been hurt. carmo was rather upfront about everything that she felt, but she absolutely hated when people would see her when she was at her most vulnerable, and hurt. for carmo, being told 'no', was like being told that she just wasn't good enough, and that wasn't acceptable. yet, then he reached over and pushed some of her hair from her face. this just got her to glance over to him for a small second, only to hear his answer. the reaction that she had to it was a bright smile. sure, it wasn't a 'yeah, why not?', but it wasn't exactly a 'no', either. something went off in carmo's head, however. he could have been simply talking, just to shut her up. he was a player, after all, and carmo had been around a number of those. they were good about telling women what they wanted to hear.
you'll really think about it? you're not just saying that?
she questioned, just trying to confirm. as if to try and further push him into thinking about the whole thing, she reached out with a hand and grabbed his gently, grinning and showing off her own precious smile, really, just think about it. it'd make me happy, and i could do my best to keep it all a secret. really, i could, she pouted at him, trying to rub his hand with her thumb. it was all fact, though. she'd do her best to keep it a secret as long as she needed to, so he wouldn't get into trouble. carmo had become used to just sneaking out and going to parties, and her parents had yet to really see that side of her. the seventeen year old was a natural liar, and surely a relationship wouldn't be all that hard. hell, she was doing a good job of keeping her parents from knowing about drew. glancing down, she noticed that once more, mauricio had began to fall asleep, eyes closing slowly, then snapping open with the tiniest movments, and once more his eyes began to close and threaten to put him to sleep. smiling gently, she grabbed her ice cream with her free hand and began to finish eating it.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS // finito!
