history ,[/color]I came into the world and blessed my family on December 25th. Great Christmas gift, right? So, everything was good. Me, my mom, and my dad Zach. I remember my parents fighting a lot. I tried to ignore it, but they got pretty loud. Finally, when I was seven, my dad left. He gave me a hug and said "Take care of your mom, son." What an idiot, right? Like I would leave my mom like he did. I was sad when he first left, but as I got older I cared less and less. My thing is, it's not worth it. Wasting my thoughts on that bum. I don't even call him my dad. If I do have to mention him, I call him Zach. But I try my best not to mention him. He doesn't deserve to be called my dad. My mom changed our last name, and she even changed my middle name, since it was originally Zachary. She doesn't want us to have anything to do with him. When, I turned sixteen, she found herself a new man. I didn't act like a bratty step son though. He's a nice guy, I don’t have a reason to be rude to him. He’s a better father to me than my actual one. Pretty sad on Zach’s part, but I don’t care. And just last year, they got married. I was probably just as excited as they were for it.
Anyways, so after my dad left, I took up basketball. To tell you the truth, I sucked at first. But I really liked basketball, so I didn't give up. And I caught on quick. Kacey would always make fun of me. We have been friends since we were practically in diapers. She’s probably one of my best friends. We’re always there for each other. Especially when her mom tried to come back for her. What a bitch. I was right by Kacey’s side through it all. That’s what friends are for right? She’s such a cool girl. In fifth grade I joined my first basketball team. I definitely wasn't the greatest on my team, but I could get the ball in the hoop. As the years went on, I got better and better. Now in high school, I am probably one of the best. Not trying to brag or anything. It’s what coach says. I get a lot of attention for it, and not just from girls. I’m in my senior year now. Hilo University called me. Full ride? You bet your ass I took it. They're not the best in the country or anything, but I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity of a full scholarship! I live in Hilo so the drive there is like ten minutes. I live at school anyways, it’s free and I won’t have to deal with my parents all the time. The freedom will be great. I gotta go visit my mom and my step dad every so often, though. Senior year is going to be great, I can feel it.[/ul]
