Elizabeth shut the lid to her lap top slowly. She had a little fear about this, it was like something she read in a magazine. Someone she met over the internet, she goes and meets that person and the person kidnaps then rapes and murders her. She bit the bottom of her lip as she changed out of her pajama shorts and tank top into something more reasonable for coffee with a complete stranger. Well, she had spent half of the afternoon talking to him, and she was pretty sure that he was one of her best guy friends best friend that she had never met. Which was odd, at least to Lizzie it was odd because back in Pismo everyone was friends with everyone. Elizabeth slipped on a pair of her favorite destroyed jean shorts and paired it with a white cotton shirt and her white ray bans that her dad had gotten her for Christmas. Lizzie grabbed her keys and locked the door as she left her cute bungalow. She went to the side where she placed her bike and got on and started peddling towards starbucks. Liz loved riding her bike, it was a nice exercise and it helps her save the planet.
Starbucks was no more than a ten to fifteen minute bike ride from where lizzie lived, so she was really in no rush. There was time for her to take the bike path and look at the scenery. That was one of the things that liz would never get over, how beautiful Hawaii was and how much fun she was having going to college and meeting new people. The little bike path was a little crowded today, but she thought that was good. You could always count on lizzie being the one who cares about the environment. There were people walking dogs, children learning to ride bikes, people roller skating, and couples walking hand in hand. A sweet smile was painted across her face, she had always been such a sucker for things like that. In fact it was almost sad how manytimes something as simple as that formed a smile upon her small round face. With in minutes elizabeth saw the green sign outside of starbucks, and decided to cross the road then. Lizzie rode her bike slowly into one of the bike stands, it always entertained her to hit the rim and kind of bounce back. But things like that had always entertained her since she was very young, in some aspects of her life she had not grown up any since she was five years young. She pulled out her purple bike combination lock so no one would steal her awesome bike she purchased at the town market for thirty five bucks. It was one of her favorite purchases of all time. Elizabeth walked inside, taking a deep breath as soon as her body hit the air conditioned store. It always smelled delicious in starbucks, it was her favorite thing about the wonderful place. Besides of course, the coffee drinks. Lizzie stood in line, her arms crossed loosely across her chest as she waited to place her order or until Zac got there, which ever of the wonderful two came first.

he can't forget the things that waitress saidHE USUALLY READS THE PAPERbut today he reads a stranger's face instead - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -shutting his laptop off zachary joseph blythe was wondering if he was doing the right thing. if he had made the right decision. you see right now he had just made plans to meet some girl whose name was elizabeth. that was basically all he knew. well that and the fact that she enjoyed history and wasn't good with grammar. she was a stranger to him yet in some way he felt like he knew her or knew of her. zach knew that his friend lucas was close to a girl named elizabeth and he was slightly curious if this was the girl he had spoke of before. the two had never officially met before so he could be totally wrong by making this assumption. but still, most people wouldn't go out to meet up with someone they had just met over the internet, especially if they had only talked for a bit of the afternoon. it might have been different if they had talked on various occasions but it had only been this one. however no matter what it was all good because the im conversation had turned out fairly good so as long as she didn't turn out to be some weird old lady he figured that he might be able to make another friend today.
zachary set his laptop down on the side of his bed and then stood up, moving towards the mirror that was in his bedroom. he glanced at himself and sighed a bit at the appearance looking back at him. he thought that he could just go and wear what he had on except he saw grease stains on his clothing. that was a downside to working with cars for a living. it seemed like he always had grease or some sort of dirt on either his hands or clothes. it couldn't be helped. even when he tried to wash it off his hands it wouldn't leave. at least with the clothing it would eventually come off. the young man turned away from the mirror and pulled off his t-shirt. tossing it to the ground he walked over to look in his closet for something to wear instead. he spotted a nice white shirt that was actually white with blue sleeves. he put that shirt on and then exchanged his jeans for a pair of white shorts. zac absentmindedly tugged on his necklace as he slipped his feet into a pair of vans shoes. now that he was fully clad in fresh, clean clothes he was now ready to go meet this new face.
the starbucks was fairly close to where zach lived so he decided not to bother taking his car today. since it was close really it would just be a waste of gas and money for him to take it. instead he decided that skateboarding there would be a good idea. he enjoyed skateboarding, it was one of the activities that he didn't need to worry about. mostly because he could get a bit of exercise from it however it didn't take much energy to do it. his heart rate wouldn't get up as once he got a little bit of speed going he could just coast for a while. picking up his skateboard on the way out of his house he immediately dropped it onto the pavement as he reached the sidewalk and then as he kept one foot on it he used the other to push against the cement causing him to move forward and to begin the short ride to starbucks. about five minutes later zach arrived and walked inside the establishment. the sweet smell of coffee hit him whenever he first entered. it was delightful. so now that he was here he needed to figure out a way to find elizabeth. while holding onto his skateboard he moved into the line up. there was an attractive girl standing ahead of him. he kept his eyes on her for a second, noticing that she resembled the display picture that he had seen almost fifteen minutes ago. could this be her? taking a chance zach used his free hand to gently tap her on the shoulder, "excuse me.. um this might seem a bit strange but you wouldn't happen to be elizabeth would you?"
he asked, his tone a tad bit shy but he gave a small smile hoping that his guess had been correct. Her eyes scanned the menu that hung above the cash register. It was the hardest part of her visits to starbucks, picking what kind of drink to get. Should she get a hot drink or a cold one? A latte or a cappuccino? Then there were also the teas and fraps. It was such a hard decision to make, but today she decided that she was going to get a latte. The only question was, which flavor was she going to get? Hmm. It was a hard question, and an important descision, it was what you would be drinking for the rest of the time you had the drink. Most likely toffee nut and vanilla, it was the flavor she got most of the time. Probably too frequently. The idea of leaving so she did not have to meet this kid had crossed her mind a few times. That was one of the things her very over protective mother had always warned her about. Don’t talk to strangers, it was the first rule you learned once you hit kindergarten that and, do un to other as you what done to you.
Her arms were still crossed, she wondered what the hell was taking so damn long. She sighed softly and took a small breath of air. Elizabeth smiled as the best coffee smell in the entire universe traveled through her nose. She had always thought that they would make millions of bucks if they bottled that and sold it in stores. She took another sniff of the wonderfully smelling air. Her mind, which was always off track, had started thinking about her english paper that was due in two days. But, Liz always procrastinated when it came to things like that. It would be done about four hours before it was due, and that would be on a good day. On a bad day it would not be finished until 20 minutes before the time it was due. Then suddenly she had felt someone tapping on her shoulder. It was Zach, she knew it.. But should she turn and see the person she had come to meet, yes. Lizzie turned around slowly and warm smile painted on her face. He had a cute smile and was very adorable, he was taller than she was and was holding a skateboard.
Elizabeth replied, Yeah, if you happen to be Zach. Her smile widened slightly. It would be pretty embarrassing if he happened not to be who she had been talking to less than half an hour ago. Lizzie decided that if this man turned out to be some creeper that she would run away, get on her bike and rife till she was home and away from the stranger. Her arms that were folded across her chest fell to her sides as she waited for his reply. She hoped that is was Lucas’s Zach that he is always hanging out with, and had never invited to come hang with them two. It was odd but whatever, the two of them were bound to run into each other sometime. After all, Hilo was not a large city so it most likely would have happened sooner or later.

he can't forget the things that waitress saidHE USUALLY READS THE PAPERbut today he reads a stranger's face instead - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -zachary happened to be a huge starbucks fan. normally he'd stop by on a regular basis to get a coffee in the morning on his way to work. it was helpful in many ways. coffee went good with his breakfast and it also helped wake him up. it wouldn't be a good idea to start using tools and working on a car when you weren't really awake. that could turn out wrong not to mention it wasn't smart. it was rather dangerous really. however even though zach was fan it had been a while since he had came. it had been almost a week he guessed because he knew that one day he over slept and if he had went to get his morning coffee then he would have been way late. his boss most likely would've gotten a bit annoyed by this but since zach skipped his coffee and rushed to get to the garage he had made it just in time. although he wasn't a morning person. if you woke zachary up then you'd have to deal with a very annoyed or unhappy young man. even if you just woke him up from a nap it wouldn't be nice. he needed his rest otherwise he'd become very cranky.
his mind wandered on thoughts of the girl in front of him. he put himself out there by asking if she was elizabeth. this would be quite embarrassing if it turned out to be someone else. he'd feel stupid if that was the case. zac was a shy guy, he wasn't the type of guy who'd be the life of the party. most times he disliked his shyness but he couldn't stop it. it was a personality trait that just continued to happen. the girl turned and zach noted the smile that had appeared on her face too. that made him feel a bit better although when she started to speak and mentioned his name he knew that this was the right girl. "yeah that'd be me, zach blythe at your service" he said feeling a bit more confident now that he knew it was lizzie. "it's nice to uh, well, officially meet you"
he added as a smile continued to stay on his own lips as he looked at the young woman in front of him. taking his eyes off of her for a moment he looked at the line, it was slowly moving forward. he was thankful for that as the smell of coffee was making him crave a hot beverage even more. he kept a hold of his skateboard while standing with her and the people ahead of them continued to get their drinks until it was their turn. zachary looked back down at lizzie and began to speak, "what would you like? it'll be my treat." he offered. call zac old fashion but when it came to girls he liked to act like a gentleman around them. he was the type of guy to hold doors open, pull out chairs and pay for things which was being shown now. he waited to see if elizabeth would accept his offer though.
