Spencer Heights is located on the off skirts of Dublin, Ireland, cloaked in mystery - invisible to the world. Trapped amidst a war between Scotland Yard and Specials, students are shipped far and wide to hone their gifts. What makes a person a "Special"? It happens either at birth, close to puberty, or after. A hormonal trigger occurs - releasing endorphins and a rare toxin that then attaches itself to the DNA structure of said person. This manipulates their genes - coming from one or both parents latent genes - giving the being uncanny powers.
And there's the Government... Who want to force the Specials into becoming spies. Claiming that Scotland Yard's SSU is the perfect thing for budding young Specials. Warped as the government is, it begins plucking students left and right to 'train' them... Yes, there's something really wrong going on.
And all we can say is - Thank You So Much Puberty.
